Theodore Music

This project was a collaboration with an old school friend of ours - Martin McAllister, another WBGS alumnus and generally all round decent chap.

Martin had already taken the lead on the design and branding side of things, and asked us to assist with bringing the vision to custom-coded reality. Theodore Music handles music supervision for TV and film, so the site needed to feel as rhythmic and professional as the work they do.

Built on WordPress (our bread and butter), but far from templated in any way. This one features a custom jQuery horizontal scroll for their project post types. It creates that classic, lateral browsing experience that feels much more like a film reel than a standard webpage. Super smooth and responsive, with a nice hover effect that pulls through custom fields from the project itself.

There’s some clever bits tucked away in the backend. We wanted to make sure the site did the heavy lifting for the Theodore team, so there’s some very nice cross communication between the project post type and the team member profiles. When a team member is assigned to a specific project in the backend (with a simple tick box), that project is automatically displayed on their individual profile. No double-entry, no manual updates - just clean, automated organisation.

We love a good collab. It keeps our perspective fresh, and honestly, getting to bring a project to life alongside an old buddy made this one particularly rewarding. The result is a site that looks as good as it functions, perfectly suited for the high-end world of music supervision.
