It was around a year ago we decided to start using the studio as an actual shop. We emptied out the desks, gave the place a new interior, and started to create new artwork to sell, as well as import vintage posters from some contacts in LA.
At the start of 2020, things were going quite well, with lots of people through the door and sales starting to grow.

Skip forward to now, and we are now selling all of our in-house designs, and vintage posters online.

This one pictured is an unframed black light, screen printed poster from 1970. Produced by Sunset Marketing Inc, LA. Measuring 893mm (w) x 584mm (h). It’s for sale at £325, but we have a 40% sale on for the whole of December, so you’ll only actually pay £195.

As a small design studio were a little unsure on how we could we help people who are working around the clock to both save people, and keep some sort of normality going. So, we decided to design a t-shirt with 100% of the profits going to an NHS charity.
~
A celebration of all key workers who keep our world turning. From refuse collectors, to shop assistants, to delivery drivers, and of course, to front line nurses and doctors working around the clock to save lives. They are our neighbours, our family members and our friends.

Jimi is in the window today. It’s an early 70s poster in pristine condition. Salvaged from a lock-up in Los Angeles. The photo is a portrait from the 1968 Electric Ladyland shoot. We’ve been adding some gold foil to this A2 skull print. Now available in the shop or online. It really packs a punch and catches the light in all sorts of wonderful ways. It’s a delicate process, that needs plenty of time to dry, followed by some light brushing to remove the excess. By building up multiple layers you get a textured finish that sparkles from different angles. #skull #gold #goldenskull #art #artprint #goldfoil

Two of the new prints we have for sale in the studio//gallery at Design House. These were designed and created by us, and available as a limited edition of 5 regular, and 1 hand finished, gold foil variant of each. The ‘Circus’ gold foil is still in progress at the moment. It’s quite a time consuming and very delicate process that requires multiple layers. So, trying to squeeze foiling time into a busy studio schedule is proving a wee bit difficult this month.
